General description
Deleted in breast cancer gene 1 protein (DBC1) is a large, nuclear protein with multiple functions in cell survival that binds directly to the estrogen receptor α (ERα) hormone-binding domain in a strict ligand-independent manner. DBC1 promotes p53-mediated apoptosis by binding to and inhibiting the deacetylase activity of SirT1, resulting in increased p53 acetylation levels and activity. It is ubiquitously expressed in 84 to 100% of neoplastic breast, lung, and colon tissues.
Immunogen
KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to human DBC-1 phosphorylated at Thr454.
Epitope: Phosphorylated Thr454
